2024 Switchbacks Schedule

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, CO  – The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and USL Championship announced the full schedule of the league for the entirety of the 2024 regular season. 

The Switchbacks will play the Western Conference opponents in a home-and-home series for 22 games, and then play each of the 12 teams from the Eastern Conference – six games at home, six away – to make up the 34-game schedule. The majority of the home games will occur on Fridays or Saturdays. 

Rhode Island FC will be joining the USL Championship this year as well as the USL League One winners, North Carolina FC. With Rio Grande Valley FC and San Diego Loyal not returning to the league, Memphis 901 and FC Tulsa will be moving to the Western Conference. 

Make sure to mark your calendars for the Home Opener Match on March 16th as the Switchbacks go head to head against Detroit City FC. May the fourth be with you as we celebrate Galactic Night and cheer on the Switchbacks as they go against El Paso Locomotive at Weidner Field on May 4th. Don’t forget about the traditional 4th of July match as the team takes on FC Tulsa. This 4th of July Extravaganza includes specialty foods and has one of the largest fireworks shows in Southern Colorado. Another notable night will be on September 7th for Superhero Night as the good guys battle against Tampa Bay Rowdies. 

At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams in each conference will head into the 2024 USL Championship playoffs starting the weekend of November 1-3, 2024. The playoffs will stay the same as the previous season as a single-elimination and a fixed bracket format. The 2024 USL Championship Final will be held at a date between November 21st and 25th.
